California Pacific Medical Center is one of the largest private, not-for-profit, academic medical centers in California and is a Sutter Health affiliate. As a tertiary referral center, the Medical Center provides a wide variety of services, including acute, post-acute and outpatient hospital care; home care and hospice services; preventive and complementary care and health education. California Pacific has been caring for children for over a century. Each year, nearly 8,500 children are admitted to the Well Baby Nursery, Pediatric Unit and Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units. Pediatric Specialty Services provide children with specialized medical care in areas such as cardiology, neurology, hematology/oncology, diabetes, pulmonology and gastroenterology, among others. Skilled physicians work closely with other pediatric health care professionals and families to meet the needs of each child, from newborns to adolescents.
